Are you bored of indoors?
Are you struggling to convince enough mates to brave the weather outdoors?

Beach ultimate only needs 5 players!

Yes that's right frostbite is back for it's fourth year of winter beach madness!

Frostbite is a 1 day winter beach tournament that will be held on the 10th of January 2009 Like last year it will be a sixteen team tournament (yes there are sixteen teams worth of nutters who keep wanting to do this!) held on Sandbanks Beach in Poole, Dorset.

If you are interested in entering a team please send an email to frostbite_tour@hotmail.com including your team name, where you are based, a rough idea of your team's standard (for seeding purposes) and we will get back to you with further details.

Some of us got burnt at Tour 2 this weekend, which links nicely to a plug for Sunburn 2008.

Being hosted by The Bournemouth Ultimatum, this beach tournament is on the weekend 14th and 15th of June at Branksome Chine, just along the promenade from Frostbite.

Hello all,

Less than two weeks after the iffy weather at Paganello some of us at Frostbite finally got to see a snow covered beach!

The freak weather at the weekend and a trip to the beach at Goring coincided perfectly and gave us a taste of what could be. There wasn't a disc thrown or any layouts (it was a pebble beach) but it was a sight to behold.

Maybe one day Frostbite will get similar conditions.

Congratulations MILF!

For the second year MILF beat Fully Charged in a close final, which saw a team from Portsmouth finish runners up for the third year!

Frostbite happened against the odds for the third time, and featured its' usual ingredients of close but spirited games, Ultimate loving teams, unseasonably good weather (probably the best so far), tasty spuds and a TD showing a disregard for timekeeping.

For the second year in a row POGGs won the closely contested Spirit of the Game.

The final standings are listed to the right of this page and we thank everyone who came down to participate.

Thank you to BULA for accrediting us, Will Parker for the pitches and Beachfest entry and Lookfly for sandsocks.

Special mention go to Gemma, Aaron and Matt without whom chaos would have taken grip.

Happy New Year,

There is now less than a week until Frostbite 2008 and we're getting excited. However, we've been beaten to the claim of first beach Ultimate in 2008.

Newly established Frostbite 2008 entrants, The Bournemouth Ultimatum, held a warm up session on Bournemouth beach this weekend allowing their players to get the first taste of sand this year!

BULA - The Beach Ultimate Lovers Association - have accepted Frostbite onto their list of approved tournaments.

BULA's mission is:

"To assist, educate, and promote the Spirit and the Game of Beach Ultimate worldwide"

BULA do this through encouraging tournaments to meet certain criteria including using approved rules and promoting the Spirit of The Game.

Frostbite 2008 is on! - Calling for Entries.

Yes Frostbite returns for its 3rd year on the frozen Poole shoreline boasting the same mix of slightly nuts ultimate players and (so far) stupidly lucky weather for a one day tournament on the 12th of January 2008.

The cost will be a mere £60 per team which will include the price of the now legendary Frostbite baked potatos for your team and full access to a (probably) empty beach for your enjoyment.

Frostbite 2008 - New Year, New Home.

Frostbite 2008 is on, and, in order to keep you guys up to date and to get the message out to the masses, that means an update of the website.

However, our current host site - whom we shall not mention as we don't wish to provide them with any further advertising - has become unusable, and instead of having a tiny little banner they now have a cumbersome advert which takes about half an hour to load.

So Frostbite online is relocating, we just haven't found a suitable home yet. Like the hobo's we are though, we shall stink up this bench within the park that is the world wide web until the authorities move us along, or until we can con an old lady into letting us in to her house for a shower.
